This dining table and chairs are 23 years old.
We bought them in Waxhaw, South Carolina, when Marcus was still a baby. Back then, the finish was the classic blond wood that defined that era.

The table has small drawers at each end—right where the kids once sat in their toddler chairs. Years later, opening those drawers revealed petrified chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, and green beans. Clearly, opinions were strong.

When we began the refinishing process, another surprise surfaced. As we disassembled the table, one leg still had the original moving sticker from Charlotte—untouched for over 20 years.

This table has held countless holidays, birthdays, and everyday moments. Bringing it into the present felt like an unexpected gift. It’s a truly beautiful piece, ready to be gathered around for many more years to come.
